গত জুলাই মাসে গুগল্ ঘোষণা দিয়েছিলো যে তারা লিনাক্স কার্নেলের উপর ভিত্তি করে ক্রোম নামের একটি অপারেটিং সিস্টেম বের করতে যাচ্ছে। এই অপারেটিং সিস্টেমটির কাঙ্খিত বাজার হবে নেটবুক জাতীয় কম্পিউটার, যেগুলিতে বেশীরভাগ সময় ইন্টারনেট বিষয়ক কাজ করা হয়।
আজকে এই ঠিকানায় হঠাৎ দেখতে পেলাম দুই নম্বর ক্রোম অপারেটিং সিস্টেম বাজারে এসেছে। আমি অবাক, গুগলের দেয়া সময় অনুযায়ী এখনি ক্রোম অপারেটিং সিস্টেমের বাজারে আসার সময় হয়নি। সেই তথাকথিত ক্রোম-এর সাইটটের ডাউনলোডের পাতার নীচের দিকে দেখি:
হায়! হায়!! গুগল্ আবার সুসি’র সাথে হাত মেলালো কবে! পরে সুসি স্টুডিও’র লিঙ্কে গিয়ে দেখলাম বেশ ভালো উদ্দ্যোগ। আপনি আপনার মতন লিনাক্স অপারেটিং সিস্টেম সাজিয়ে নিয়ে তা বিতরণ করতে পারবেন। এই প্রকল্পের উদ্দেশ্য হলো অনেক কোম্পানী আছে যারা নিজেদের মতন করে অপারেটিং সিস্টেম ব্যবহার করে সেটা উইন্ডোসই হোক আর লিনাক্সই হোক (যেমন: গুগল্ গোওবন্টু ব্যবহার করে যা উবুন্টুকে ভিত্তি করে তৈরী করা হয়েছে)।
আমি ক্রোমের নাম ব্যবহার করে এরকম ফজলামো করার কোনো যুক্তি দেখলাম না। তাই এই ভুয়া অপারেটিং সিস্টেম ব্যবহার থেকে সাবধান! এটার সাথে গুগলের কোনো সম্পর্ক নেই!
চমৎকার একটি লেখা পেলাম ভাইয়া। কিন্তু এই ভুয়া কাজটি বেন সুসি’র মত কোম্পানী করতে গেল আমার বোধগম্য হচ্ছে না। নিজেদের মত উইন্ডোজ বা অপারেটিং সিষ্টেম তৈরী করতে পারবে কিন্তু তাই বলে গুগল এর নাম নিয়ে।

@Borno, In market when competition will start, the customer have great opportunity to get best quality and you know how smart Google is and yes, I’m still using Windows XP and maybe Google can give more user friendly OS and it’s not a matter of “eto ghurai pechai khawar ki ase”.

তবে আমি গুগল ক্রম কে তেমন ভালো ভাবে মেনে নিতে পারছি না। কেমন যেন বিপদের একটা গন্ধ পাচ্ছি। এটা ক্রম ব্রাউজারের উপর বেজ করে নির্মিত। আমি কি করছি না করছি সবই যদি গুগল জেনে যায় তো ভবিষ্যতে গুগল আমাদের কি যে অবস্থা করবে সেটা ঈশ্বর জানেন।
মহা চিন্তায় আছি। আমি ভাই লিনাক্স আর উন্ডোজের সাথে আছি, বাদ বাকী গুগল ফুগল থেকে ২০০ মাইল দূরে থাকছি।

It’s better to not show your ignorance about anything. There are lot more computing platforms than you can think of, where windows cannot even be installed. You cannot install Windows on my iMac G5. But only Linux is the OS, which is available on any platform.
It’s fine that you are satisfied with your system. But do not jump to any conclusion based on only your little experience.
As for the post, it is clear that it cannot be Google’s Chrome OS. Since it is not announced by Google and also on a very poorly designed google site pages. Don’t you think google has some money to buy a better domain and decent website design?

Firstly, i did not show any ignorance about google chrome.. i just wanted to establish a point which you totally missed out..
secondly, i am not saying linux is bad, for some purpose i do use linux based OS .. but i do not prefer that as my COMPUTER’s OS..
Thirdly, you should probably check the statistics of windows users, windows based machine users and other OS users.. the discrepancy is massive and then you probably will understand the point of centralizing all things and develop a standard product family.
Finally, may be you are soo experienced and compare to that i am not so experienced, even then, you do not know me and i do not know you, so no one has given any right to judge my experience level. And yea i do ignore some things based ON MY EXPERIENCE…

You really do not know what does standard mean? Microsoft never followed standard in any of their product. The standard means a certain rules that anyone can follow. For example, PDF, ODF, W3C, POSIX, are standard made/approved by international standard committees. None of these are followed by MS. Instead, they built their own proprietary formats: XPF, DOCX, Win32/.Net etc. which no one can use to build product without buying license from MS. Every single web developer knows how painful it is to build a website compatible with IE.
Popularity does not define standard. People use windows because of the compatibility, not for the best experience or standard. They are forced to use windows, because some software they like to use (even though there are alternatives) runs only on windows. Also, they are preached by the Computer Gurus around themselves who only use windows and know nothing about other systems, have no shame to pirate software.
